Between Banderas Bay and Barra Navidad there are beautiful anchorages that are only a day’s sail apart. This section of our trip will probably be the most pleasurable due to its lax weather, good surfing and fishing.  Barra Navidad is a neat tourist town with much to offer. There are many small restaurants and bars that are connected with cobblestone streets. We anchored in a tranquil lagoon that was a short dinghy trip to town with a descent surf spot. We remained there for about 2 weeks where we met up with a lot nice gringos that lived there for the season. Barra Navidad (which translates as Christmas bar) was obviously a popular destination around Christmas time.  Being there during Christmas is quite an event with many fiestas and celebrations. Before leaving Barra we met up again with Roger and Tobe on “Palapa.” We ended up buddy-boating with them down the coast to Zihuatanejo.
